Aussie-born-and-bred 24 hour gym franchise group, Plus Fitness, has reopened in all states and territories. And after the lockdown the chain opened its first two new gyms.

These new gyms are in Edmondson Park and Ambarvale New South Wales. A third outlet, the Clyde North venue will open in  on 24 June, two days after the official reopening of gyms across Victoria.

Plus Fitness co-owner John Fuller said “We have used the time we have been closed to focus on improving many things within our business, as well as ensuring we come out of the current climate stronger than ever.

“As well as having two new clubs open in the first week of restriction easing in New South Wales we are also opening a third new club in Victoria next week.”

Fuller said there are a further 42 franchise territories sold, 18 of which have a secured property and are in various stages of fit-out.

Fellow co-owner Nigel Miller said “The fitness industry remains buoyant and we are seeing it bounce back stronger than ever as we work our way out of the remaining restrictions placed on us across the country.

“We have seen an overwhelming level of support from our members during this time and especially now as they return to the gym.

“We have also seen new member acquisition up 11 per cent on this time last year indicating the value our communities place on their health and wellbeing at this time.”

The franchisors point to the high level of local interest the three new Plus Fitness gyms have already attracted pre-opening. Plus Fitness Ambarvale brought in more than 125 members in a little over a week before opening its doors.
