JAX Tyres & Auto rolls out remote vehicle checks for Melbourne residents

Sarah Stowe

Franchised vehicle service JAX Tyres & Auto has unveiled an industry-first initiative that offers remote video vehicle checks to customers, in the comfort of their own homes.

The JAX Video Vehicle Checks are right now available for Melbourne customers in Stage 4 lockdown.

Drivers can book and access these video checks using the auto firm’s existing webchat to SMS service. Qualified technicians will then conduct remote visual inspections and can offer expert mechanical and tyre information one-on-one.

“Giving our customers peace of mind about their vehicles is at the heart of what we do. JAX Video Checks combines the best of what we do, our successful digital platform and our expert knowledge from our store teams, to offer them a greater level of support when they may need it most,” said Steve Grossrieder, CEO and executive director of JAX Tyres & Auto.

“Whether it’s leveraging new technologies or tapping into the best-in-class expertise within our franchise network, we’re committed to delivering premium retail service in increasingly innovative and agile ways.”

This is the latest development in a broader range of customer support initiatives from the business in response to Covid-19, including JAX Zero Service Contact.

The mechanical service provider is also providing support to Victorians with a free JAX Vehicle Inspection and free pick-up and drop-offs at participating stores.

Earlier in the year the JAX Quikfit Tyres chain underwent a subtle rebranding to JAX Tyres & Auto  to reiterate the services it provides across the nearly 90 outlets in the chain.

The business serves 60,000 customers every month.

This is a heritage business that has been trading for 51 years. But a new HQ, e-commerce site and continual innovations are keeping the brand in the fast lane.
