Rolld plans more store openings this yearA taste for healthy cuisine is driving the growth of one fast food chain set to open its 50th outlet in Australia.

Rolld is opening a store in Melbourne Central.

The business grew from a small Vietnamese eatery in Melbourne to employing 45 staff in 2012/2013, and now has more than 1000 employees.

Another 20 outlets are planned for opening before Christmas, with 50 additional stores to be unveiled in the next financial year.

Bao Hoang, co-founder and CEO of Rolld, said “The opening of our 50th store at Melbourne Central is a milestone moment for us. When we first launched Rolld our original intent was simply to share my mum’s fresh, healthy authentic home-cooked Vietnamese food, which we thought provided a nice alternative to sushi.

“But with such an overwhelming response to our product, and the exponential growth of our brand, we’re now really serious about refining and extending the Rolld concept on a national and even international scale without compromising our quality.

“Essentially we now want to take our home Vietnamese cooking to the world.”

The menu is inspired by the food of Mama Hoang and Mama Ly – two Vietnamese mothers who, on top of working 18-hour days, prepared balanced, vibrant and flavoursome meals prepared for their families each night.
