“When the weather is fine, people tend to focus more on outdoor projects. When it’s cold or wet, they think about improving the inside of their home. Either way, we make it easy for them to bring their dream to life.”

For courtyards, alfresco dining areas and swimming pool surrounds there are pavers, natural stone products, retaining walls and stone claddings. The indoor range offers tiles for walls and floors plus fittings for the bathroom.

“We’re in the process of launching our new range of designer-curated bathroom packages,” says Peter. “These will make it easier for customers to make their choice – it’s all about providing a full solution sale to the customer and to maximise every sales opportunity for the stores.”

“Our expert product team scours the world for the new and emerging trends,” says Peter. “Relationships with leading European factories give us access to cutting-edge design and technology and we are first to market with exclusive products and designs to give our stores a competitive advantage.”

“Amber is owned by a world-leading tile manufacturer, we have our own product development and design facility and the scale to negotiate market-leading offers from international factories and quarries,” says Peter.

“We also have strong, long-term relationships with local supplier partners who also form an integral and important part of the Amber product offering.”

Despite the challenges of Covid-19, Amber has continued to thrive – and plans for expansion are continuing uninterrupted.

“We currently have 28 outlets across New South Wales, ACT and Queensland, 21 of them franchised, all catering to retail, trade and designer customers,” says Dan.

“We’re planning to increase that footprint by 20 per cent over the next three years. To support that target, we’re moving to a new, more spacious modern warehouse facility.”
