Successful Snap franchisees ready for next stage

It was 1994 and Greg Barlow, who had a successful career in finance and his wife Robyn, a medical scientist made the decision that they wanted to leave the city and head back to Albury.

As always for those looking to return to their regional roots comes the question of how they can earn the money they need for the lifestyle they want.

“Robyn and I were keen to get back to Albury and we had a friend who had a successful Snap franchise, so we started to look into whether operating a Snap franchise was something that would work for us,” said Greg Barlow, owner of Snap Albury/Wodonga.

Successful Snap franchisees

Starting with a greenfield site, Greg and Robyn have over the ensuing 27-years built one of Snap’s most successful franchises.

“We started with no experience at all so the support of Snap with advice around equipment, their first-class training, and marketing support was critical, as was the advice from other franchise owners.”

As with most things in life, Greg says the secret to success of the Albury/Wodonga Snap centre has been hard work and now after 27-years Greg and Robyn are looking at their next phase of life, with their centre up for sale, creating a tremendous opportunity for someone to take on this thriving Snap franchise.

“Greg has been one of those franchise owners we love at Snap, hardworking, producing high quality products and building long standing relationships with the local businesses that has seen his centre thrive,” says Peter Fiasco, Snap’s National Franchise Systems & Development Manager.

“We have over 130 franchisees in Australia and we could not be prouder of the work they have done to see these businesses come out of the Covid challenges stronger than ever,” he said.

In an Australian first, Snap has partnered with global design giant CANVA and is about to release a new online platform, making it the perfect time for anyone seeking a franchise with a trusted brand and the right support to join the Snap family.

“It is such an exciting time to be part of the Snap business, we are merging what is known and trusted with our in-store experience, with technology and best of all when you do order online, that order will go straight to your local Snap centre.

“Anyone out there wanting to change their life and take on an exciting business opportunity, with the support that you need to be successful, then Snap Franchising should be your first stop,” said Peter Fiasco.

Taking on a career change, like Greg and Robyn have done, is an enormous decision and when asked why they made the call to take on a Snap franchise, Greg said it was all about having control over your own future.

“Choosing to go into a franchise is a big decision for anyone and choosing a trusted and positive brand such as Snap is one that has worked very well for us.”
