Pizza Hut to reach 300 mark by end of the year

The year may be wrapping up, however its business as usual at Pizza Hut, with the chain recently opening three new stores across Australia, and it plans to open its 300th before 2014.

“Nationally we will end the year reaching the milestone of 300 stores in Australia and 84 stores in New Zealand,” said Pizza Hut’s head of development, Andy Masood.

The brand recently opened its 20th Perth outlet, which is headed up by franchisee Harsh Patel, at South Lakes.

According to Masood, the move forms part of Pizza Hut’s aggressive expansion plans for the city.

“We’re preparing for significant growth within the Perth market and looking to open up to 30 new stores over the next three years,” he said.

“The goal is to bring Pizza Hut to more of the community. Anyone interested in becoming a business owner with the support and backing of a strong global brand, should come see us.”

After a nearly decade long hiatus, Pizza Hut has opened a new outlet at Singleton in NSW, and it is open from 11am through to 10pm seven days a week.

“The store’s opening weeks have been very successful. Pizza Hut has not had a presence in Singleton for more than seven years and the community’s positive feedback has given the team a warm and friendly welcome,” Masood said.

He attributes the success of the brand’s new store in Bundoora, Melbourne to franchisee Maruthi Baile’s enthusiasm, energy and passion.

“We receive hundreds of franchise applications every year, and Maruthi’s drive to become a business owner with the support of Pizza Hut’s global brand, ongoing support, and quality products, shone through within his initial application.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Maruthi to the Pizza Hut team,” he added.
