Customers can now immerse themselves in artisan gelato making as Gelatissimo launches a new gelataria production concept this month.

Unveiling its concept in two locations, Norwood in South Australia on Saturday 14 September and Burwood in New South Wales on Saturday 28 September, Gelatissimo will be showcasing its new gelato creation area (the “Galleria Del Gelato”) and a new range of Italian-style sundaes, Coppe Gelato.

The brand new site at Norwood and completely refurbished Burwood location that is reopening with new franchisees also includes Gelatissimo’s full cafe design that serves coffee, biscotti and other desserts.

The Galleria Del Gelato will feature the machinery needed in the gelato making process in a glass viewing window. Customers will be able to see the start to finish process of gelato making which involves mixing, measuring, pouring, extracting and garnishing for presentation.

The introduction of Gelatissimo Coppe Gelato provides customers with the eat-in experience of indulging in offerings large enough to share with family and friends.

Gino Patini and Tony Gagliardi, owners of the Norwood gelataria are also responsible for the success of Gelatissimo Gouger Street and Rundle St, both located in the heart of Adelaide.

New Burwood franchisees, Omer and Ayfer Evran are already a part in the local community, owning a restaurant right next door to their gelataria.

Joint CEO, Domenico Lopresti said, “Through the introduction of the Galleria Del Gelato and Coppe Gelato Sundaes, our gelaterias are now engaging destinations where customers can immerse themselves in the world of an artisan gelato maker.

“This visual presentation will heighten the authentic Italian experience customers have when they taste freshly made gelato created from scratch.”

Next on the list to present these two concepts will be Broadway, New South Wales and Mackay, Queensland, both opening next month. Joining soon after that will be an international territory opening in November this year.
