A new retail, dining and entertainment precinct in Perth will open its doors in September, successfully completing stage one of the district’s $200 million transformation.

Raine Square will be unveiled to the public on Monday, 17 September and will feature 12 casual dining restaurants, a nine-screen cinema and a range of specialty stores.

Andrew Borger, Charter Hall head of office development said that after four years of planning, the company was thrilled to see the Raine Square redevelopment come to life.

“This is a flagship development for Charter Hall in Perth and has involved a significant investment to plan and build,” Borger said.

“Situated in the very centre of the CBD, accessed by thousands of commuters, office workers, shoppers and tourists each day, the redeveloped Raine Square will deliver a brand new, world-class retail, dining and entertainment precinct in the heart of the city.”

The unveiling of this precinct follows other landmark deals for Perth, which has also been bolstered by the opening of Belmont Forum’s ‘Fresh Food Precinct’ and the announcement of the Byford Marketplace, highlighting the growing demand for retail and dining precincts in the area.

On completion, Raine Square will deliver 18,000sqm of retail space, and will be anchored by key tenants including Coles Central and Palace Cinemas.

The redevelopment will also feature 25 specialty and service retail stores, restaurants and an improved dining precinct.

“The revitalised design improves connectivity, site mobility and cleverly integrates heritage and contemporary design. There is a mix of new retail, specialty and dining venues and Perth CBD’s only cinema, making Raine Square one of the most unique, CBD-based entertainment and dining precincts,” Borger said.

A number of franchise businesses will feature in the redevelopment including, Baker’s Delight and Subway with stage two presenting a number of retail and food and beverage opportunities.

The precinct’s second stage is due for completion in December 2018 and will add an exciting mix of local and international big brand names to be announced in 2019.
