Drive through coffee franchise, Muzz Buzz, has launched in New Zealand, with one outlet opening in Auckland and another in Manukau.

The Auckland store, located in Mt Albert, is the franchise’s first international store, opening on 9 August, and the Manukau site throwing open its doors today.

The two New Zealand outlets bring Muzz Buzz’s store count to 50 across Australasia and there are another 10 under construction or awaiting approval.

Executive chairman, Warren Reynolds said, “We’re very excited to be launching the Muzz Buzz brand in New Zealand and we really hope the people of Auckland will embrace our exciting concept and try our great food and beverage products.”

Entry into New Zealand was a commonsense step, according to a statement issued by Muzz Buzz, which states that Australians and New Zealanders have similar spending habits in relation to coffee and a willingness to embrace the convenience of drive through as a retail concept. It adds that despite global economic uncertainty and falling equity markets, spending on coffee and convenience food products has continued to grow in both Australia and New Zealand and across most of Asia in the past five years.

This will motivate Muzz Buzz’s expansion moving forward. “Muzz Buzz is now in a strong growth and expansion phase. With 50 stores we’ve reached critical mass in Australiasia. Muzz Buzz now dominates the Australasian drive through coffee market and it’s time to expand and develop new markets in the Asia-Pacific region.  Our goal is to make Muzz Buzz a global lifestyle franchise brand over the next decade. We have a proven business model, a proven brand and a successful growth strategy,” said Reynolds.
