Calling successful franchisees and franchisors; the Franchise Council of Australia’s Excellence in Franchising Awards 2010 are now open for entries.

Last year Kwik Kopy franchisee Lou Pannunzio won franchisee of the year (two or more staff) and he believes the award has produced real results. He said “We have definitely seen results from winning – more emails, more phone calls, more business.”

Categories this year are Established Franchisor of the Year; Emerging Franchisor of the Year; Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year; Single Unit Franchisees of the Year (one for franchisees and partner with up to one staff member and another award for franchisees and partner with two or more staff); Franchise Woman of the Year; Supplier of the Year; Franchise Executive of the Year; Field Manager of the Year; Excellence in Marketing; International Franchising; Contribution to Franchising; Franchisor Social Responsibility; and Franchisee Community Service.

Entries close Tuesday 1 June 2010.

A panel of judges will determine the winners in each category.

A series of regional awards events will take place over the winter. In Victoria on 6 August; in NSW, 12 August; South Australia, 21 August; in Western Australia, 27 August; and for Queensland, 10 September.

The overall winners will be announced at a national awards event on Tuesday 12 October, 2010 at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa, Surfers Paradise.
