Aussie franchisee wins Anytime Fitness international award

Just four years after starting his business, the first franchisee in the Australian network of 24 hour gyms, Anytime Fitness, has scooped a top award. Steve Rollings, who opened his first club in Muswellbrook, has been named International Franchisee of the Year by the global fitness club chain. 

More than 1400 franchisees attended the international conference in the US which concluded with the awards ceremony.

Steve said “I had never run or owned a gym before. Anytime head office have provided me with endless support and operating systems to assist in my rapid business growth. The past four years have been a huge learning curve for me, and from the start my focus was always on building a fantastic, exited loyal team to run my clubs.

“We now have over 50 staff across my 10 clubs. These Clubs are located at Cessnock, Forster, Greenhills, Gunnedah, Kotara, Muswellbrook, Singleton, Tamworth, Taree and Thornton.  I love being in an industry that has a positive impact on so many people’s lives.”

The master franchisees for Australia, brother-and-sister team Justin McDonell and Jacinta McDonell-Jimenez commented, “Steve Rollings is a great example of a successful Anytime Fitness franchisee, being part of the Anytime Fitness family from the very beginning and now winning the prestigious International Franchisee of The Year Award.
