Narellan Pools fundraising hits $18K for firefighters

Narellan Pools fundraising among franchisees has raised a total of $18,000 to support volunteers within the Victoria Country Fire Authority, NSW Rural Fire Service and Queensland Rural Fire Service.

The fundraising campaign was kicked off by Narellan Pools Sunshine Coast franchisee, Mark Martin. Once he had pledged to donate a percentage of each pool sold during January to bushfire volunteers franchisees across the network quickly followed suit.

Martin says “These volunteers have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect people, property and animals across the country, and as a community we wanted to show our respect and appreciation for these brave firefighters.”

Inspired by the generosity of its franchise network, the overall Narellan Pools Group has stepped forward to match franchisee contributions.

Chris Meyer, MD of Narellan Pools, says “We’ve all been touched by the tragedy of our recent bushfire crisis. Our community of franchisees continue to inspire us, and calling on us to support the bushfire crisis is no different.”

The funds will be distributed between the Victoria Country Fire Authority, NSW Rural Fire Service and Queensland Rural Fire Service.

“We know and trust these organisations will put these funds to great use, and help take care of those remarkable Australians who put their lives on the line for our country,” said Meyer.
