Dymocks will open its first bookstore in Albany on December 15 with franchisees Deborah and Richard Congdon at the helm. The new store on York Street brings the total number of Dymocks outlets in Australia to 75.

“WeÕre really excited to open a Dymocks bookstore in Albany,” said Deborah Congdon. “In addition to setting the standard in bookselling and being a successful franchise network, Dymocks is such an iconic Australian name.”

“We hope that our passion for books, coupled with our expert staff advice, will give the Albany community the ultimate destination for booklovers,” she added. Deborah, who has more than 30 yearsÕ teaching experience, is looking forward to interacting with younger readers and plans to invite local schools into the store.

“There is no greater gift you can give to the child in your life than a love of reading,” she adds. “Reading plays such a vital role in shaping a childÕs education and future, and if children miss the thrill of reading when they are young, chances are they wonÕt recover…”

There will be plenty of great value offers in store until Christmas Eve, including a 25 per cent off Bestsellers promotion.
