Coming to a Hoyts cinema near you: Eagle Boys pizza

Sarah Stowe

Pizza and movie night at home is a popular treat for Australians, and now Eagle Boys has linked with Hoyts Cinemas to take the experience to selected cinemas.

As part of its plans to expand its Express store network, Eagle Boys will set up kiosks at two Hoyts Cinemas, Penrith and Charlestown, with three unbranded kiosks in Sydney at Carousel, Chatswood and Entertainment Quarter.

These Eagle Boys Express outlets are franchised by Hoyts Cinemas which are corporately owned under Pacific Equity Partners.

Hoyts CEO Delfin Fernandez said the food on offer at the entertainment venues are an important part of the overall customer experience and there was a trend towards hot food. “Historically cinema-goers have had to go elsewhere to have a meal before or after their movie. With the inclusion of Eagle Boys pizzas, Hoyts offers our guests dinner in a movie, not forcing them to go elsewhere for dinner and a movie.”

Todd Clayton, CEO of Eagle Boys Pizza, said “The Hoyts partnership with Express coincides with the biggest menu and brand revamp the Eagle Boys Express model has seen since it was rolled out five years ago and is an excellent example of two brands working together to improve the customer experience.”

The new enhanced menu featuers seven inch pizzas and side items, and will be on offer at all existing Express stores within the next 12 months, as well as four new Hoyts stores.
