Business is booming as Amber Tiles plans for growth

ifbadmin

Record sales, long-term resilience and an ambitious blueprint for growth make this the ideal time to consider joining the Amber team.

“Our business is booming,” says CEO Shirley Liew. “Following Covid-19, many retailers in the home improvement sector have seen an increase in customer spend and, in Amber’s case, that’s reached record highs. This has been a very tough financial year for many business owners but Amber stores were achieving positive returns with two months of trading still to go.”

Meanwhile, Amber has been fine-tuning its plans for expansion.

“By building on our proven franchising system, we plan to increase the network’s footprint by 20 percent over the next three years,” Liew says.

As part of the strategy, Amber will soon be moving its warehouse facility to Kemps Creek in Sydney. Here, it will be sharing more than 12,000 square metres of purpose-built office and warehouse space with sister company Johnson Tiles.

“This will give us capacity for continuing growth,” Liew says. “We wanted to make sure we’re fully prepared to take advantage of the rebound in building and construction that has been predicted for the 2021-2022 financial year.”

With its independent 5 Star Green Star rating*, the new building will also help to keep costs to a minimum.

“From regulating the temperature inside the warehouse to energy management and rainwater harvesting, it’s healthier for people and the environment,” Liew says. “Keeping expenses as low as possible is also good news for our franchisees.”

Building on a history of success

The current surge in business is built on an impressive history of success.

It all began in 1973 when Paul Cave launched the first Amber store. He went on to develop a successful network of outlets, making Amber a household name. A committed entrepreneur, he also founded the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb – and this is the entrepreneurial spirit Amber looks for in its franchisees.

“Many of our franchisees also have experience in home improvement, interior decorating or the building products industry, but this isn’t essential,” Liew says. “If you have the right attitude, determination to succeed and a healthy dose of business acumen you could be the ideal owner of one of our new stores.”

Thanks to the upturn in residential housing, an increase in renovation activity, low interest rates and an economy powering ahead in a post-Covid environment, Amber has brand new opportunities in high-growth locations.

“Our franchisees also enjoy all the benefits of being part of a proven, highly-successful team, including all the training and support they could need,” Liew says.

A unique opportunity

The economy, post-pandemic optimism, low interest rates – these positive factors may never come together again. That means there may never be a better time to join the Amber team, and a fast-growing $1.3 billion market.

If you think you’re the right fit and have the passion and commitment it takes to build your own profitable business, visit Amber Tiles now. It could be the first step to a secure and fulfilling new life.
