Banjo’s Bakery Cafe pie combo gives franchisees a winter boost

The latest Banjo’s Bakery Café pie combo, Bangers and Mash Pie, is hot out of the oven to tempt Aussie customers into franchisee stores over winter.

All 41 Banjo’s Bakery Cafe outlets will have the classic meat and veg combo. Customers can purchase in-store, online with click & collect, on Google ordering and soon on UberEats.

Banjo’s Bakery Café CEO, Jessica Saxby, said “Australians are refining their palates to explore unique flavour combinations whether it’s an homage to a pub classic, iconic burger or a family favourite dish.

“Our diners are often on-the-go so we thought a Bangers and Mash Pie would be the perfect solution for a satisfying meal where consumers can enjoy their hit of meat and veg in one bite!”

To help drive interest in the menu addition, the franchise chain opened one of the largest guessing
games in the country. And Aussie pie lovers flocked to guess the new Signature flavour.

The franchise chain’s product development manager Marcel Schnitzer said innovation across age-old favourites could be difficult to pull off, but creating a connection between pastry and its consumer is always worth it.

“When creating our Signature Pie flavours it’s important for us to develop flavour profiles that encourage nostalgic memories – we want to create an emotional connection between our food and customers,” said Schnitzer.

Banjo’s Bakery Cafe brings more than 30 years of baking experience to today’s franchise network. The business started trading in 1984 and moved into franchising nine years later.

Franchisees can sign up for either a seven or 10 year term, with one option to renew.

Stores that cater for 7 million customers each year are located across Tasmania, Victoria, News South Wales, South Australia and Queensland.
