$21 million foodie focus for Westfield Woden

The nation’s capital is set for a shake up with Scentre Group and joint venture partner Perron Group announcing a $21 million redevelopment at Westfield Woden.

The redevelopment is expected to open in in early 2019, anchored by a new dining precinct that features six premium restaurants, to compliment the existing network of franchised offerings, such as Grill’d, Rashays and San Churro.

Located on Bradley Street adjoining Westfield Woden’s HOYTS Cinema Complex, the latest addition will offer residents, professionals and visitors an exciting mix of local and family favourite food retailers.

Malcom Creswell, ACT regional manager centre experience, Scentre Group said the diverse mix of offerings, coupled with the centre’s late trading hours provided something for everyone throughout the day and into the evening.

“We recognise there’s significant demand for an elevated dining experience within the Woden area. Our vision is to make Westfield Woden a vibrant dining destination; a place to gather, relax and enjoy with family, friends and colleagues during the day and into the evening”.

The redevelopment sees Westfield Woden leverage the area’s rich cultural history, and strong foot-traffic to create a vibrant dining hub for the local community.

Work is currently underway at Westfield Woden, with completion of the upgraded food court and amenities later this year.
