Xpresso Delight’s mobile franchise drives success

According to Xpresso Delight, a Bentleigh East ‘coffee&go’ franchisee, Leon Immermann, is running a successful and sociable business by taking gourmet espresso coffee to local businesses.

Immermann, 56, moved to Melbourne from South Africa in 1997.

“I wanted a job where I would meet lots of people every day and where I could be active while still providing a strong income for my family,” he said.

“These days I’m at my first client by 7.15am and I visit around 40 businesses by 3pm. I make at least 75 cups of coffee per day, which can mean 75 different conversations”.

Xpresso Delight ‘coffee&go’ franchisees operate fully outfitted coffee vans and make scheduled stops at businesses in their designated territories, working an average of 25 hours per week.

Immermann’s clients include offices, retailers, panel beaters, warehouses and a local school.

“I have structured my business so all of my clients are spread across the Bentleigh, Moorabbin, Cheltenham and Mentone areas, meaning I can keep fuel costs down by staying within my local ‘loop’,” he said.

“I also sell coffee at local football carnivals on weekends, which is fantastic as the demand is really high and the supporters don’t have to put up with instant coffee.”

Immermann says that most of his business comes from word-of-mouth recommendations.
