Franchisees awarded: Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue, Dreamy Donuts

Franchisees in the Jamaica Blue, Muffin Break and Dreamy Donuts networks have been rewarded for their hard work at the biannual Foodco Conference Awards.

The 375 franchisees from Australia, New Zealand and the UK were assessed on the quality of their freshly-prepared food, coffee and service, as well as their marketing achievements and sales growth.

The biannual awards were distributed across four categories: the Retail Award for Excellence, Marketing Award, Golden Bean Award and the inaugural Local Community Hero Award.

Foodco managing director Serge Infanti said “We are delighted to see so many of our franchisees succeeding across all areas of their business, particularly considering the recent challenging retail environment.

“It’s an exciting time for the entire Foodco Group as our expansion initiatives, both domestically and internationally, continue to gain momentum on the back of our strong domestic performance,” said Infanti.

The winners

Castletown Shopping Centre in Townsville was a stand-out winner, with both the Jamaica Blue and Muffin Break cafŽs awarded the Retail Award for Excellence, along with a $7,000 prize.

This award acknowledges franchisees who demonstrate excellence in all areas of business, with Dreamy Donuts Elizabeth announced the winner for the premium donut and coffee brand.

Jamaica Blue Castletown found victory twice as sweet with the franchisee also being awarded the Marketing Award for creative campaign activities, effective in-store promotion and implementation of the Caribbean Crew Loyalty Program.

Macarthur Square was named the Marketing Award winner for the Muffin Break brand and both stores received a $5000 prize to be used for future marketing collateral.

Muffin Break Macarthur Square was also announced the winner of the inaugural Local Community Hero Award for the franchisee’s support of Muffin Break’s national family-focused charity partner, Good Beginnings.

Jamaica Blue Rockingham and Muffin Break Robina proved the quality of their coffee is strong, being named the winners of the Golden Bean Awards and each taking home a $5000 prize.

The Foodco Golden Bean Awards recognise franchisees that produce superior-quality coffee, participate in barista competitions and have seen exceptional coffee sales growth.
