Flight Centre (FLT) has further strengthened its presence in India after acquiring the assets of a leisure travel business in key south India markets.

Since securing its presence in Europe last week, the flight business has now acquired the assets of India-based Travel Tours Group (TTG) for an undisclosed sum.

According to a report by Inside Retail, Travel Tours Group has a strong leisure travel presence in key south India markets.

“TTG has a strong leisure travel presence in the key South India markets of Bangaluru and Chennai, which will complement FLT’s Flight Shops offering in the country’s north and west,” said Graham Turner, FLT managing director.

FLT recently acquired corporate travel businesses in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Mexico, and more recently in Europe.
