Channel Nine is launching a business programme called Don’t Come Monday, and the largest mobile coffee franchise in the world CafŽ 2U is starring in the opening show. The programme, which launches on the 19th October, showcases inspirational stories from everyday people who have said good bye to their nine-to-five existence and opened their own franchise.

This week it features Michael and Samantha Carne from Port Melbourne, who opened their own mobile CafŽ 2U franchise. As the program reveals, former courier Michael was attracted to the franchise after franchise development managers had already built up a customer base for him in Port Melbourne previously.

“I basically just had to meet the customers and start making coffee,” he said. “The franchise gave us flexibility, I could pick up my daughter from school and as a business owner, the earnings are higher than that of an employee. Samantha and I love the fact that we are building our own business.”
