Kitchenware retail franchise King of Knives is tempting potential franchisees with a $20,000 offer. The first three new franchisees to sign up before 30 April 2012 will receive $20,000 worth of stock, valued at $40,000 at retail.

Daniel Hochberg, franchise manager, told Franchising “We are keen to promote the business and get some traction for a new franchise. It’s not an easy climate and there are lots of systems competing for the same customer. We hope this will differentiate us, and motivate potential franchisees to consider joining us. In difficult times, it will also ease the financial burden on new franchisees, allowing them a head start into their own business.”

The offer (with conditions) follows a successful Christmas trading period for King of Knives. Company stores showed a two percent increase for December which Hochberg described this as “an excellent result under the circumstances”.

He added, “But what is perhaps even more exciting is that franchisees were up 22 percent for December. This confirms to us the benefit of transitioning to franchising as our long term strategic direction as well as highlighting the opportunity to potential franchisees.”
