Toowoomba franchisees take out top Domino’s award

Domino’s has awarded its Toowoomba franchisees Darren and Deb Ramm an International Gold Franny Award for operational excellence.

To be eligible for the award stores must meet strict international standards set out by the Domino’s head office in America.

The criteria considers:

  • Sales peformance
  • Product quality
  • Operational audit scores
  • Community involvement
  • Store safety and security levels
  • Store crew morale
  • Store growth

The CEO of Domino’s Australia, Don Meij, must also personally nominate stores, and each application is scrutinised by the company’s US head office.

The award is an incredible achievement for the couple, and it puts their franchise in the top one percent of all Australian Domino’s stores.

According to The Chronicle, Darren said he was incredibly honoured to win the well regarded award. “The only other person I know who has won one is the man who trained me.

“The award reinforces everything we’ve been doing is the best thing for our store and our customers,” he added.

In June the couple will travel to London to claim their trophy, and Deb said they are looking forward to exploring the city’s Domino’s stores while they are there.

The Franny (short for franchise) awards allow franchisors to recognise high achieving franchisees, and they were established more than 20 years ago.
