The Leather Doctor adds franchise units

The Leather Doctor continues to grow as it brings it franchising portfolio to 57 in Australia now.

The franchise has expanded with six franchise sales in the last 12 months, with five being attributed to existing franchisees expanding on their reach.

Franchise business manager Casey Reid said that the growth is a sound indication of potential franchisee confidence in the business model. Once a franchisee is on board, however, there is a stringent process that determines whether existing franchisees are up to standard to expand further.

“Franchisees making additional purchases is a strong indication that our business is a really good investment opportunity. Existing franchisees clearly see the value and these are the people who know the system intimately.

“In fact we, the franchisor, do not just allow any franchisee to expand at their will.  The franchisee must be of a high calibre and show proof of their intention to grow their businesses; sustain growth by bringing in additional help; supporting the franchise system; and being a team player,” Reid said.

The Leather Doctor will be at the Melbourne franchising expo held this weekend.
