Tamworth steak house franchise wins regional award

Tamworth’s casual dining restaurant, Outback Jacks, has been awarded the Best Steak Restaurant for the NSW/ACT division in the Restaurant and Catering Association Awards for Excellence 2008, following its NSW northern region award for the same category.

This award automatically nominates franchisees Peter and Virginia Holzberger for the national title; the couple, who were the chain’s first franchisees three years ago, have now have to wait until the night of the awards, 27th October, to find out if they can add the national prize to their trophy cabinet.

Outback Jacks, with its 10m sculptured crocodile mascot, Jack, caters for diners looking for generous portions – outlets are located in restaurant precincts and tourist areas.

The company’s motto is “Simply great steaks, seafood and service with a smile”.
