A new franchise opportunity with NightOwl Convenience has opened in Melbourne’s Collins Street, in the heritage-listed McPhersonÕs building.

The NightOwl business franchise operates 61 convenience chain stores within Queensland, NSW and Victoria and is a recent addition to Melbourne. A Chapel Street 24 hour convenience store was successfully opened in March, making the Collins Street store NightOwlÕs second addition to MelbourneÕs inner-city market in three months.

Grant Peck, national marketing manager, said he is thrilled to open a NightOwl store in what is often regarded as Australia’s premier street.

“NightOwlÕs success in the Queensland market has prompted us take the business model to Melbourne where we aim to showcase NightOwlÕs point of difference,” he said. “MelbourneÕs local spirit is at the heart of what NightOwl represents — we aim to become an important part of the local community and blend our professional service with a strong personal touch.”

Sanjay Saraiya, the new franchisee of the Collins Street store, said Collins Street was an ideal location, combining the business and financial heart of Melbourne with a strong tourist and leisure trade.

“NightOwl is relatively new to MelbourneÕs CBD and even though the market is competitive, the business model has all the hallmarks for great success,” he said.

Saraiya brings more than six years previous experience as a successful franchisee to the Collins Street store, and is passionate about providing high levels of customer service.
