Salsa’s set to open seventh QLD store

Mexican food franchise Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill will open its seventh Queensland store at FKP Property Group’s Gasworks development in Newstead, Brisbane this September.

The brand has secured a 127sqm site at the $1.1 billion retail, commercial and residential precinct, which houses the likes of Woolworths and a range of cafes and boutiques.

Salsa’s general manager Jake Spencer said the company takes the site selection process very seriously, and the site itself, as well as the local market, must suit Salsa’s offering.

“We are extremely selective about new locations and the Gasworks presents an opportunity to be part of a new precinct with an eclectic mix of retail, and a strong worker and residential population within the Newstead Riverpark area.”

He said the new store will have a modern feel and provide customers with healthy meals at both lunch and dinner.

“The Gasworks store will feature a contemporary interior suited to relaxed eating. The style will be appealing to the new local community, providing those working and living in the area with a fresh, healthy and convenient alternative for lunch and dinner.

“We have big expectations for Gasworks and we’ll be using it as a benchmark for more restaurant sites in Queensland,” he added.

The fully licensed store will be equipped with indoor and outdoor areas and seat a total of 120 people at any given time.
