RFG to boost coffee retail under new division chief

The coffee retail sector is the latest division in the Retail Food Group to get a new chief.

Jevon Le Roux has been appointed director of the coffee retail division, which includes Gloria Jean’s Coffees, and is based at RFG’s Sydney office.

RFG’s chief franchise officer, Mike Gilbert, said “Jevon brings over 18 years’ experience across multiple industries and is an ambitious leader with extensive experience in setting vision and strategy that supports high-end growth.

“He will be responsible for leading the bourgeoning coffee retail division at RFG and setting turnaround strategies to reposition the Gloria Jean’s Coffees brand system, as well as accelerate the growth of the Cafe2U and The Coffee Guy networks.”

Le Roux has notched up time in retail, fashion, technology and management consulting, with his most recent role at Hurley, the Nike surf company, where he was responsible for taking the global fashion brand to the South African market and building its wholesale and retail operational platform from the ground up.

Just last week RFG announced its new bakery and cafe director; and in May a head of international development was appointed.
