Quest boosts franchise recruitment team

Quest Apartment Hotels is boosting its franchise recruitment capabilities. David Constantinou will head up the chain’s Franchisee Accelerator Program as group franchising manager.

Long term employees Regan Corbett and Anna Goncalves move across to the franchise establishment team to drive recruitment and training. This team is responsible for attracting, nurturing and supporting talent.

David Constantinou said the key to good business outcomes is to work closely with prospective franchisees.

“We want candidates to determine whether Quest is the right choice for their business ownership objectives, by helping them understand our franchise model,” he said. “It’s also important for us to determine whether the candidate is the right fit by understanding their goals and aspirations.”

Constantinou spent two years as a national account manager for the family firm, and three years in Quest’s learning and development team.

“The franchise selection process is an exercise in education. It’s a time when all parties learn from each other, assign responsibilities and plan toward a shared objective. I learned the skills and discipline needed to own a small business at a young age, but I also believe that bringing an educator’s perspective to the team will help improve our capabilities,” he said.

Franchisee Accelerator Program

The 5-star rated franchise launched its Franchisee Accelerator Program in 2017, targeting high performing employees looking to invest in their own business. As a result, internal candidates now represent more than 35 per cent of the franchisees in the network. Overall Quest franchisees are ambitious, with more than 40 per cent planning to move into multi-unit franchising

“Candidates are doing more due diligence and demand more support from the franchisor. Our business format franchise model is appealing to potential franchisees wanting a clear path to wealth creation through business ownership.

“I look forward to helping new and existing franchisees challenge themselves professionally as we enter a new phase of growth in Australia and abroad,” Constantinou said.
