Aussie automotive franchise Pedders Suspension & Brakes has unveiled a monster new partnership with Supercars.

The new five-year deal also sees the brand join forces with mobility and autonomous systems producer Supashock. Pedders will now be enlisted as Supercars’ official damper and suspension partner, with the brand’s control dampers now mandated for the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Additionally, Pedders will also become the official suspension partner for Erebus Motorsport from 2020 onwards, with team drivers David Reynolds and Anton De Pasquale now riding on Pedders SportsRyder eXtreme Racing Coil Springs.

Scott Pedder, managing director of Pedders Suspension & Brakes said partnering with the nation’s most recognised automotive competition was a major boost for the entire franchise network.

“Our Australian owned franchise operation is a proud supporter of Australian motor racing and Australian manufacturing. We are very excited to once again be involved with the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship,” he said.

“Product innovation is a key driver for our business and our technical partnership with ‘Supashock’ is a testimony to this.  It is also a huge honour for our two great companies to be the official control damper to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.”

Pedders partnerships

The latest update from Pedders marks a significant step for the heritage Aussie business. The brand has carved out a niche as the country’s most reliable suspension service provider, which Pedder believes will be bolstered by the additional marketing push.

“Motorsport is part of our brand’s DNA. Our lessons learned on the racetrack are lessons we place into the design and manufacture of our great range of products,” he said.

“We enjoy enhancing our customers vehicles to make them perform, carry loads and tow better and this is how we improve the customer experience…by racing. Supporting iconic names like Supercars, Supashock and Erebus Motorsport is a natural fit for the Pedders group. We will continue to educate and engage with motorsport fans across Australia and the world.”

Under the terms of agreement, the brand will also serve as the official suspension and damper partner of nine Supercars-managed events, including the iconic Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Pedders will now integrate the Supercars and Erebus partnerships into its general marketing program, with franchisees and owners to share reciprocal marketing and networking benefits.
