Logistics and shipping franchise Pack & Send has been sold to MBE Worldwide in a move founder Michael Paul describes as an “exciting development”.

Pack & Send will continue to operate as an independent company under current management and will maintain its name and business concept.

CEO Michael Paul began the business back in 1993 and has overseen national and international growth, adding master licensees for both the UK and New Zealand.

Michael said “This is an exciting development for the Pack & Send franchise system. Combining forces with MBE Worldwide creates unique opportunities to synergise with colleagues similarly steeped in managing a franchise‐based network of entrepreneurs.”

MBE is a third-party provider of shipping, fulfilment, print and marketing solutions to businesses and consumers across the globe.

Paolo Fiorelli, chairman and CEO at MBE, said the two businesses are well-aligned.

“Pack & Send is an excellent strategic fit for MBE because of its entrepreneur‐driven, people‐centric, customer‐first business model, which complements our MBE business and culture,” he said.

“We are excited to welcome Pack & Send to the MBE family and to work together to provide high‐value solutions to our business and consumer customers across the globe.”

The MBE group includes complementary brands Mail Boxes Etc., AlphaGraphics and PostNet.

A recent financial update revealed Pack & Send franchisees had boosted profits as the network’s sales rocketed to $42.09m in the first half of the financial year 2021.

Earlier in the year, just as the pandemic was taking hold in Australia, Pack & Send shared how it had previously helped franchisees gain further revenue.

In 2019 the business was named as a 5-star franchise after it received a high performance score under the independent Australian Franchise Rating Scale.
