Zarraffa’s Coffee has boosted its roasting operations on the Gold Coast with a $5m investment in a new roaster.

CEO Kenton Campbell said the new addition to the Helensvale headquarters reflected the increase in capacity warranted by the company’s 70 stores, in order to keep up with customer demand.

Campbell said “We have always roasted our own beans and since opening in WA in 2012, and more recently in north Queensland, there has been a need to ensure we can meet the coffee requirements of our stores day in and day out.

“We are looking to open another 20 stores in the coming 24 months in both our Queensland and WA territories,” he said.”This new roaster is a rotating fluidised bed hot air coffee roasters that will triple our current capacity.”

The Minister for Small Business, the Hon Bruce Bilson attended the official opening of the new roasting system.

“Businesses like Zarraffa’s Coffee are the backbone of our economy and it gives me great pleasure to be able to help celebrate their success,” Bilson said.
