Zambrero set to open Craigieburn store

Mexican food franchise Zambrero will open its 35th store at the new Craigieburn Central Shopping Centre on 29 November.

To celebrate, customers who visit the new store on opening day will receive a burrito or bowl for five dollars.

Proceeds from the purchase of the meals will go towards Zambrero’s PLATE 4 PLATE program.

The ongoing program sees the company donate a meal to someone in need every time a burrito or bowl is purchased.

Since it was founded in 2005, Zambrero has provided more than one million meals to people living in poverty around the world.

“Where and what you eat for lunch and dinner can make a difference,” said founder, Dr. Sam Prince.

“Our PLATE 4 PLATE initiative means that every time you eat at Zambrero, you’re helping to feed the world’s hungry.”

Prince invites locals to visit the new store on 29 November to do their bit for the less fortunate, as well as enjoy Zambrero’s Mexican offerings.

“Not only will you enjoy a fresh, inexpensive Mexican meal, by choosing to eat at Zambrero you’ll also be helping to feed those most in need around the world,” he said.

The new store will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week from 9am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sundays.
