You could buy a Fastway Couriers franchise for under $50,000

Sarah Stowe

Providing a low cost courier service delivering locally and nationally, Fastway Couriers supports franchisees with online tools for training and communication. Mobile technology and strong communication are key to the Fastway Couriers network.

Richard Thame, CEO, says that mobile technology and strong communication allows for the franchisor to support franchisees within a budget.

“Our field managers are in the field every day,” he says.

Thame believes that the benefits of the franchise include the affordable entry, solid training and support, access to a proven system and growing industry.

However, there are challenges to running a franchise.

“It’s not a job, it’s a business,” says Thame. “It’s okay to ask for help.”

In his view, for those who have always been an employee, there is a transition period and plenty of on-the-job learning. The average age bracket of Fastway franchisees is between 30 and 45 years.

Thames’ advice for potential franchisees is to do their research, understand the demand in the market for the product, and ensure strong communication is upheld between franchisee and franchisor.
