Which retail automotive franchise is recruiting in NSW and VIC?

Sarah Stowe

A national and soon-to-be international retail automotive franchise is expanding in metropolitan New South Wales and Victoria, with eight outlets to open across the states in the next 12 months.

Rent 2 Own Cars (R2O) is a franchised brand which allows customers with bad credit ratings a chance to own a car on a simple payment plan with no interest charges. R20 has plans to grow nationally and in New Zealand and Canada.

“We’re expanding throughout Australia,” said Paul Green, franchisor.

R20 is focusing on New South Wales and Victoria, with eight new sites to open across metropolitan Sydney and Melbourne.

“The model is successful in regional locations, but also works in metropolitan areas too,” he said.

The initial investment to purchase an R20 franchise is $70,000, with a working capital requirement of $150,000 for a five year renewable term. The model includes fit out, national marketing and on-going support. The franchise is governed by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and local government licensing. Motoring or automotive retail experience is not required.
