Freshii, a healthy fast food business, will open its first Australian outlet at a food court in the Carillon City complex, Perth. The franchise offers fresh and nutritious meal choices for customers on the go.

The lease was negotiated by CBRE Property’s Craig Olde and Richard Cash on behalf of Carillon City co-owners, according to a report by Inside Retail.

Freshii menu items include custom-made green wraps, salads, quinoa bowls and fresh pressed juices. The brand is committed to eliminating traditional fast food practices such as using excess packaging, causing heavy energy consumption and producing oily processed meals.

“The Freshii brand represents a new era of main stream perception around convenience food, contradicting the historic view that food served quickly was by nature unhealthy,” said Olde, senior manager, CBRE Property.

“The brand sprang to notoriety in the USA when the founder boldly and publicly published an open letter to McDonalds offering an open partnership trial at no cost – which Freshii claimed would increase the turnover of McDonalds with no expense or effort.

“The global fast food giant has to date been silent in direct response to the perpetual standing offer, however has since adopted a distinctly healthier strategy.”

The brand has now secured a seven-year lease for the space at the retail complex.
