What Hungry Jack’s thinks could be the future of drive-through

A trial program in a single store in NSW Central Coast is deploying the Brekk-E-Tag to allow customers at a drive-through outlet to receive their order automatically.

The e-tag can be preset online with a customer’s order, which is then recognised as the customer drives through the outlet.

The Hungry Jack’s initiative is in response to regular customers whose breakfast tastes don’t change from day to day, reports the Herald Sun.

Similar to road e-tags, the Brekk-E-Tag uses a Radio Frequency Identification technology. Receivers will be installed in-stores and operated in a range of 5-8 metres.
