Virtual classes introduced at Anytime Fitness

Sarah Stowe

Anytime Fitness Australia has installed a virtual group exercise platform, Fitness On Request, in its gyms.

Fitness On Request is now in 70 of the clubs across the country, and the gym franchise aims to have the program in 130 clubs by October 2014.

Franchisees can manage the group fitness program invented in the US through a streamlined booking system.

An online management portal gives franchisees everything they need to set up the program with minimal management required – they can schedule classes to auto-start or leave the schedule open for members to choose their own classes on request.

The fitness program is delivered on a wall-mounted high definition screen and a touch-screen kiosk allows members to browse the library of virtual classes, make their selection and immediately engage with pre-recorded sessions.

Fitness On Request is designed by fitness experts and led by certified instructors. There are more than 50 pre-recorded classes from boxing and kickboxing to dance, step and yoga.

Easy management is a benefit of the new virtual group exercise program
