Training program helps small business owners achieve all round success

Sarah Stowe

Bruce Doyle has developed a training and coaching program that seeks to help small business owners achieve both financial and personal success.

Doyle has an extensive background in the industry, having previously held shares in the master franchise licences of the Australian and New Zealand arm of US-based small business coaching company ActionCOACH for a period of 12 years.

His Whatever It Takes Mastermind program covers a broad range of topics spanning health, spirituality, personal development, business and investment.

“It [the program] is based on the definition that to achieve a true quality of life three components must be in place – money, health and you,” Doyle told Franchising.

Doyle developed the program upon realising many of the business owners he dealt with did not have a have a healthy work/life balance.

“After 17 years of mentoring and training business owners throughout Australia and New Zealand while owning the ActionCOACH master franchise, as well as numerous franchises within the network, I discovered there is more to business success than money,” he explains.

“So many business owners and franchises I’d met were making great money but were stressed to the max, suffering anxiety and their health and nutrition was disgraceful. What good are we to anyone dead?”

The program sees Doyle and his trainers deliver online sessions lasting between 90 and 120 minutes on a fortnightly basis, allowing for participants to stream the sessions live from their computer or smartphone irrespective of their location.

“Every franchisee can…  work through the strategies and tasks with their teams and the franchisor between sessions,” Doyle explains.

“All sessions are available on demand at anytime complete with workbooks, handouts etc, which means a franchisee can work with their team anytime using just one membership.”

Doyle guarantees the program delivers fresh, engaging content designed to help business owners achieve their goals, and each module includes an accountability task to ensure participants are engaged in, and most importantly learning from the program.

“The program is constantly changing, every module has new content and a range of trainers – our goal is to have members forever,” he says.

Bruce Doyle purchased the master franchise rights to ActionCOACH in Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia in 2003. He later teamed up with ActionCOACH founder Brad Sugars to purchase a share in the company across Australia and New Zealand. He sold his shares in the licence in 2013.
