Top franchisees praised at Quest awards

Accommodation franchise, Quest Serviced Apartments, held its gala awards dinner in Melbourne recently, where more than 2,500 employees and franchisees battled for one of the 13 awards presented on the night.

The top gong, 2011 Quest Franchisee of the Year, was presented to Tony and Jenny O’Reilly, franchisees at Spring Hill in Queensland.

The pair were recognised for their consistently strong business performance, excellent staff management and leadership. The O’Reillys and their partner, Roger Gorman have proven to be very successful franchisees, taking out three Queensland Franchise of the Year awards in as many years.

A stellar year

2011 was a big year for the accommodation franchise, which added nine new properties to its portfolio in Australia as well as one in New Zealand, resulting in 20 new franchisees joining the Quest team.

Paul Constantinou, chairman of Quest Serviced Apartments thanked franchisees and employees for their contribution to Quest’s success despite challenging business conditions.

“This has been a very successful year for Quest, despite challenging global economic conditions. The new properties we’ve opened this year (2011) were all conceived during the GFC when the majority of the market went into damage control,” he said.

“We kept our focus firmly on the future and worked very hard to progress new developments — thanks to the commitment of our entire group, we have seen these projects come to fruition this year.”

Constantinou said the franchise is on track to achieving more than 12 percent revenue growth for the second year running.
