The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill goes interstate with first WA outlet

The franchise operates in the casual dining arena with a state-of-the-art sports fit out. The Rockingham site accommodates more than 150 diners and has more than 50 high definition TV screens.

Locals Phil and Tim Deavin are the father and son franchisee team. Tim is a member of the Australian men’s hockey team with his eyes set on the upcoming 2016 Rio Olympic Games (he’s already a World Cup and Champions Trophy gold medal winner, and the recipient of an Olympic Bronze from the London event).

“Sports and hospitality are synonymous with the Australian lifestyle, and The Sporting Globe has successfully combined the two to create the ultimate family friendly sports entertainment experience. They have been really supportive throughout the entire process, and we are super excited to open the venue and start trading in Rockingham” said Tim.

More than $2m is being invested in the new venue. The Sporting Globe group expects to see investment of more than $10m invested across Western Australia within the next three years.

This latest outlet in the entertainment precinct at Rockingham Shopping Centre adds to the six sites already operating in Victoria.
