The Cheesecake Shop targets growth in 2017

After opening eight stores in the first half of this financial year, The Cheesecake Shop has no plans to slow down in the next half.

“We’re targeting new residential areas,” said Nick Avgerinos, national franchise development manager.

In 2017, the The Cheesecake Shop plans to recruit two franchisees per state in New South Wales (Sydney), Western Australia (Perth) and Queensland, as well as one per state in Victoria (Melbourne) and South Australia (Adelaide).

Avgerinos said that the business is also investing in product development, by planning into use free range eggs by the end of 2017. The Cheesecake Shop is furthering its premium ingredient offering with exclusive chocolate which is now outsourced from Belgium and glazes brought in from France.

The initial investment for a franchise ranges from $150,000 to $700,000 for a five year term. Franchisees have access to local area marketing plan assistance, national marketing.
