Providing non-competitive soccer for children aged two to 12, Grasshopper Soccer has over 60 franchises in Australia, as well as a presence in New Zealand.

“We’ve got a big focus in Melbourne this year,” said Blake Brinklow, CEO.

The brand has 10 sites set to open in Melbourne, with a further five in Sydney, three in Adelaide, and two in Brisbane by the end of next year. Although expansion in Australia and New Zealand are the main focuses, there are plans to venture internationally.

“Our focus is finishing off (expansion) in Australia and then definitely international (growth) from then on,” said Brinklow.

The franchise model has also developed. Initial investment now starts at $25,000 and includes $5,000 worth of merchandising equipment, as well as training in Perth. Flights and accommodation are also covered by the franchisor for training. Marketing and operational support provided for a five year term with an option to renew. Candidates require relevant Working with Children Checks for eligibility.

“Grasshopper Soccer is an ideal franchise for outgoing personalities,” he added.
