St Louis targets domestic and international growth

Sarah Stowe

French-style dessert franchise St Louis House of Fine Ice Cream is expanding internationally this June and has secured a master franchise agreement.

“We have an international team based in the Philippines this year, who are about to launch into the expansion of St. Louis in Manila,” said George Karamalis, managing director.

“The store is being built as we speak and set to be finalised in June this year.

“This is an exciting step for us here in South Australia  as we are proud of the achievements and foundations we have established with the brand here locally. To see it grow into an international brand, is exciting and we look forward to seeing the outcome of our desserts loved by customers across the globe.”

And it doesn’t end there. Domestic expansion is also in the works.

“We are aware of the importance behind keeping our brand ‘boutique’ in its growth expectancy,” he said.

“We will be expanding at the rate of approximately three to five stores (internationally and nationally combined) per year.

“We have had a number of interested parties across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and are currently working closely with some potential franchisees across this network.”

Franchises range from an initial investment of $350,000 – $550,000, depending on the site condition that is chosen, the size and current state of the site. Franchisees receive training prior to store opening and ongoing support.
