The board of printing franchise, Snap Printing, has announced the appointment of Stephen Edwards as chief executive officer from 1 November 2011, replacing Grant Vernon.

Vernon will step down from the role following the company Annual General Meeting on 31 October.

Stephen is currently chief operating officer at Snap and has been part of the franchise network for more than 10 years.

Outstanding leadership

According to Snap Chairman Alan Good, Vernon has provided the company with outstanding leadership and has been a major contributor to the company’s growth and success.

“The company is coming off a strong year and has an excellent underlying business which is set to go onwards and upwards thanks to the position Grant leaves it in,” Good said.

“The board and shareholders of Snap express their sincere thanks to Grant. He has been with Snap for more than ten years and despite challenging market conditions the company has produced sound results during that time.”

Move to Sydney

The board has also announced that during the next six months Snap will transition its marketing, finance, legal and IT teams currently in Perth to Sydney where the sales and operations teams are located, as part of the process of planning for future growth.

“It’s part of the continual planning that goes into running and growing a company the size of Snap and it is really business as usual for us from here,” said Vernon.

“Moving the current Perth functions to Sydney will enhance accessibility of the corporate team for most franchise owners and we believe being in the one location will also make our team more effective.”
