Security at Superfinish

Sarah Stowe

Superfinish Express is a low capital entry franchise system, requiring an investment of less than $50,000 for everything other than a van and that will usually be leased.

A franchisee’s market is repeat business-to-business in car yards, fleet managers, rental companies and auction houses providing a few, high volume customers. The business is mobile, so there are minimal overheads although there is also now a multi-van model with a static, mass-market base.

The automotive duco and plastics used are environmentally-friendly and ongoing R and D is part of the strategy to stay ahead of the competition.

When it gets down to business, franchisees write the invoices but the franchisor chases the money, forwarding the money directly each week. Within certain guidelines, income is guaranteed for the start-up phase, and fledgling franchisees will have on-hand support for the first couple of weeks.

“We’ve always looked for people with practical minds, good hands, and a ‘non-desk’ mentality,” says CEO Ben Forrest. “They’re not going to have big money to outlay, they’re going to want security, and there are parts of running a business they won’t want to know about. Our system was built from the ground up around them.”
