Sandwich Chefs targets 100+ stores

Inside Franchise Business: Sandwich Chefs wants to open 100+ storesSandwich Chefs has opened its 50th store in Australia. The Adelaide location is one of 13 stores that launched this year and the brand has eight more franchises signed up for 2018.

The 2020 goal is more than 100 stores.

All the stores are currently franchised and the company is targeting multi-unit ownership as part of the growth strategy – it expects 50 per cent of stores to be under multi-unit ownership.

And in line with today’s mixed food retail landscape Sandwich Chefs offers several business models: kiosks, inline and cafe style stores.

It all started when three great mates walked into a sandwich bar and, driven by the desire to make the kind of sandwiches that people can’t make at home, they opened their first outlet.  There’s a focus on daily deliveries of local produce and artisan bread, and making as

much from scratch as possible including 14 hour slow-roasted pork and crackling.

It costs from $150,000 -$400,000 to invest in a Sandwich Chefs outlet.
