Food franchise Sandwich Chefs teamed up with the Aussie Farmers Foundation and has raised more than $6,000 to help struggling Aussies enjoy a Christmas meal.

Sandwich Chefs CEO Chris Ferguson said “Christmas is a time for family and friends to come together over a meal. It is distressing to think that more than half a million Australians will struggle to put food on the table this Christmas.”

On 25 November the food franchise donated to Project Rudolph $1 from every carvery purchase. With contributions from customers, franchisees, and stakeholders Sandwich Chefs raised $6,116, the equivalent to 136 Project Rudolph Christmas meal boxes.

A Project Rudolph meal box provides a nutritious meal including roast meat vegetables and a Christmas cake or pudding.
