Sandella’s free car offer to franchise buyers

Sarah Stowe

Buy a business and get a car worth $15,000…that’s the offer for five potential franchisees.

Brand new from the US, fast food chain Sandella’s is offering a big incentive to prospective buyers who attend a grand opening of its new Caboolture store on the Sunshine Coast.

A delivery car valued at $15,500 plus $5000 worth of training are up for grabs to the first five potential business owners who register interest on the day, Saturday 22 June, and then proceed to purchase a store.

There are six sites secured on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts.  The locations are in service centres with petrol and food stores, just off major routes such as the Bruce Highway.

Alan Minshull, chief development officer for Sandella’s Australia, told Inside Franchise Business the leases are signed, and there are build-out costs already scoped.

Investment costs including training and legal fees are under $300,000.

Meet Sandella’s founder

While the US business is just starting out in Australia it has been franchising since 1994 and has about 150 stores worldwide.

Minshull said the business does well with delivery and catering services in the US.

On the menu are premium wraps, panini sandwiches, pizza and salads which open day attendees will be able to taste on Saturday 22 June. It’s also an opportunity to meet Sandella’s founder Mike Stimola.
