SafetyQuip, which offers workplace safety supplies and services, is expanding in New South Wales in the next six months.

“We’re looking to expand in a number of areas, but more importantly two more in Sydney in the next six months,” said Gary Shearer, founder and CEO.

“We are focusing on Sydney so that we have the ability to nationally service customers.”

The brand already operates in Western Australia, Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.

The initial investment of a SafetyQuip franchise ranges from $250,000- $500,000 and offers a three tier model:

  • Small warehouse or “blind shop” with a mobile van: this is how franchisees start in the business

  • Real distribution warehouse with a mobile van

  • Satellite centre warehouse with a mobile van: a smaller format outlet within the territory: franchisees can invest in this model after successfully operating the real distribution warehouse.

Shearer added that territories are quite large, allowing franchisees to set up satellite centres. Support includes a 90 day startup, an intensive training program and access to the admin system.
